At the upcoming Fakuma 2026, Italian peripheral equipment manufacturer Moretto will showcase its latest innovations in material handling and processing. The company will present automation solutions featuring integrated sensor technology and control systems. The highlight of the company’s booth will be a live demonstration of a fully operational conveying system.

Fully Automated Pellet Conveying

The Loadmatik system automatically calculates and adjusts the conveying parameters for pellet transport. After the material source and destination are entered, the control system determines the required values regardless of transport distance or material quantity. Self-learning algorithms continuously analyze the pellet velocity, operating pressure, suction-emptying time, and the fill level of the material separators. Based on this data, the system controls the entire conveying path of the plastic pellets without any manual operator intervention.

The technical implementation of the Loadmatik is based on the interaction of three coordinated components. The One Wire 6 Plus control unit centrally monitors and controls the conveying parameters to ensure maximum system performance. The X-Loader serves as a vacuum separator; using Sentry+ technology, it automatically records conveying data and adjusts system parameters in real time. The Kruise-Kontrol speed control system dynamically varies the operating pressure and adjusts the conveying speed of the granules to meet current process requirements.

To prevent visual and structural defects in components, the Deduster granule dust collector removes dust particles from the granules prior to further processing. The device combines the vortex effect with mechanical separation and centrifugal separation. To prevent contamination, only stainless steel components are used in the conveying area. For applications with strict requirements, such as in medical technology or optics, the separator can optionally be equipped with an integrated ionizer.

Compact Electric Dryers for Engineering Plastics

In the field of drying technology, the manufacturer is expanding its X Comb dryer series with four new models: X Comb 17 to X Comb 20. These fully electric units process engineering plastics at throughput rates of up to 60 kg/h and operate independently of fluctuating environmental conditions. With a footprint of 0.6 m², the units feature a compact design for integration into existing production environments.

RFID Coupling Yard Minimizes Operator Errors

The manual Delphy Coupling Station ensures contamination-free material handling with stainless steel connections. An integrated RFID system checks the connection between the source and destination every second to ensure it is correct. Colored flashing LEDs provide visual guidance to operators when configuring the line connections. This automatic check prevents incorrect couplings and ensures end-to-end material traceability during operation.

Seamless batch tracking and MES integration

For the storage and tracking of plastic raw materials, the manufacturer offers modular storage solutions that track each material batch from receipt to the processing machine. The self-configuring Mowis control system serves as the overarching control system, centrally consolidating plant data. Operators monitor equipment parameters, manage production batches, and adjust process values in real time. Using the OPC UA protocol, Mowis communicates bidirectionally with existing Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and can be expanded modularly. (mg)
